Bismillah, assalamualaikum,
Lately, we had feed by the infamous news about Cadbury chocolate that claimed that it having traces of DNA of the pork. This is an unpleasant news whereby most of Malaysian Muslim's kid loved it and have eaten it as much!
Soon after that, the authority declared that Cadbury is Halal and everybody could eaten it without a doubt.
But, damaged done, not all muslims dare to buy Cadbury anymore because it has becoming 'syubhah'. There are still bunches of other brands in the market so no worries, they said.
I want to share with you a good paperback about 'istihalah' concept. Even though it is not related directly with the above issue but it could helps us understand of what it is where about.
